There is a difference between paranoia and genuine distrust. Sometimes, if you’ve been cheated on before you might have the tendency to assume that everyone is a cheater. However, sometimes even the most trusting person gets a feeling that their significant other is a player. Most of the time your instinct is right, but here are some sure signs that there is something shady going on.

1. They doesn’t let you see their phone. Ever.

Now, we’re all a little private about our phones. They keep vital information and sometimes private conversations. However, if your partner’s phone rings and they snatch it up like you’re about to steal it, there might be something they’re hiding. Let them know that makes you feel uncomfortable, and hopefully they’ll have a legitimate reason why they’re so protective.

2.  They spend way too much time on their appearance.

Although we all like our girl or guy to care about their appearance and keep fit, there is something strange when your mate is spending hours getting ready to just go to a bar. There is definitely a chance that they are checking out the crowd in case “something better” comes along.

3. They seem to run into “old friends” everywhere, and don’t introduce you.

We all have past flings, exes, and friends we run into. It’s totally normal if they awkwardly run into a few random people they dated before you. However, if every time you go out they gets accosted by 3 different very close friends, it could be a sign that you’re not the only one they’re seeing. Perhaps they just have a lot of friends, but maybe they’ve been frequenting Match.com.

Let’s be totally honest here- if you’re in a relationship and you feel constantly suspicious and uncomfortable, you should break up. Maybe they’re not a player, but you won’t have a healthy relationship unless you feel secure. Player or not, you deserve to feel happy, so it’s probably time to move on.
