Beyonce and Jay-Z: Celebrity Power Couple

With the constant media attention, you might think that celebrity couple “Brangelina” was the most powerful duo in Hollywood. However, Forbes’ list of top-earning celebrity couples actually puts music all-stars Beyonce and Jay-Z at the top of the list!

Bringing in an astounding $122 million in 2009, Beyonce and Jay-Z lead the list of uber-rich celeb duos, followed by Harrison Ford and Calista Flockheart. Brad and Angelina fall at fifth with a measly  $55 mill. Oh, boo hoo.

The singer and rapper team are a great example of how a successful couple should always be able to bring their own assets to the table. Being independent should remain a high priority, even if you get married. While your identity as a couple is something to embrace and enjoy, people tend to give up their personal skills and hobbies when entering a long-term relationship. It’s just not healthy.

While we may not all be gazillionaires like Beyonce and Jay-Z, we should definitely pay attention to how they have molded their relationship!
