HowAboutWe Combats Match With 3 Free Months
Ooooh, SCANDALOUS!
According to OnlineDatingInsider, Match.com recently decided to start offering a “date suggestion” service. Sounds like something you’ve heard of, right? That’s probably because there is a dating site devoted solely to this, called HowAboutWe.com. ODI says Match basically copied HowAboutWe’s core functionality, and called it DateSpark.
HowAboutWe responded:
Match.com totally copped our style. Last week they launched a new feature called DateSpark. It’s basically a HowAboutWe clone. David Evans from OnlineDating Insider had this to say: “DateSpark is heavily inspired by HowAboutWe. In fact its pretty much a direct copy of what I consider to be 2010 hottest dating startup.”
While we’re flattered by Match’s imitation of us, we’re not worried. It’s kind of like, “C’mon guys….it’s still just Match.”
