HowAboutWe Plagiarizes Booty Call Commandments?
Last week, dating site HowAboutWe (the one where you suggest a date as your first move) released their “10 Commandments of Being Friends With Benefits,” about the delicate relationship that two friends have when they decide to cross the line into a sexual relationship. However, one astute reader noticed that the blog post seemed familiar. A little research showed that they weren’t just experiencing Deja Vu – the commandments were almost replicas to a list that casual dating site OnlineBootyCall released just 6 months ago!
The wording of the commandments all the way down to the subject matter are extremely similar, and considering the original OnlineBootyCall Commandments were introduced back in 2002, we have to assume that perhaps the people over at HowAboutWe were at least “inspired” by OnlineBootyCall’s commandments.
While it might be a bit strong to say “plagiarize,” we definitely think that HowAboutWe may have taken the liberty to skim a little creativity off the top of OBC’s infamous list from 2010. Perhaps some edits to make it a little more… unique… are in order?
