Is She a Gold Digger?

There seems to be a trend of older, well-off gentlemen dating beautiful young women, and being completely unaware of the fact that they are being used for their money. Now, we can’t judge every relationship, because some women probably generally fall for older men, despite their income. However, there are usually signs that can be easily seen if a woman is using a man for his money.

1. There is little to no sexual relationship

Many times, older men aren’t even looking for a sexual relationship. Perhaps they’ve already passed the sexual period of their life and are just looking for companionship, or a beautiful woman to accompany them places (aka a trophy girlfriend). If a woman is genuinely interested in a man, there will usually be some semblance of a sexual relationship.

2. She doesn’t have a job

Once again, there can be a reason for this- some older men have a patriarchal vision of the world- where women should stay home and men should work. However, for the most part, if she doesn’t even have a part time job and usually spends her days shopping and perusing the pages of WealthyMen, she’s probably a gold digger.

3. She cares about her appearance more than anything

All women care about their appearance, they want to look their best and want their boyfriends to think they’re beautiful. However, if her personality is severely lacking but her tan body is in peak condition, this might be a sign that her life plans have been accomplished: becoming a trophy girlfriend/wife.

4. She is very aware of how much her boyfriend makes

She might not actually have any idea as to what her boyfriend’s job is, but she is fully aware of his yearly income and is very concerned with it. If it’s very apparent that she wants to be completely informed about his monetary worth, she’s probably only dating him because of it.

5. They are not in the same league

The idea of “leagues” has always irked me, because a persons looks should never delegate who they are allowed to date. However, it is, unfortunately, a sign when a drop-dead gorgeous woman is seen with a far-below-average looking guy, that there is probably some underlying reason that they are dating, usually a monetary reason.
