Over Half of UK Daters Would Cancel Valentine’s Day

In a surprising (but understandable) survey by dating site Smooch.com, we learned that over 50% of daters in the UK would cancel Valentine’s Day if they had a chance. According to the survey, young people especially are open to ending the romantic holiday, with those over 60 being the least likely to want to stop the tradition (surprise, surprise).

More stats:

- Those who are married or widowed were the least likely to cancel Valentine’s Day.
- Respondents with a ‘very high salary’ were the most likely (60%) to cancel Valentine’s Day.
- Libras are the most romantic star sign with just 19% willing to cancel Valentine’s Day. Whilst 37% of Scorpios would put and end to Cupid’s reign.

If you had the chance to make V-Day a thing of the past, would you? Or do you still have a bit of a sappy side for the love-filled holiday?
