Player Haters

Urban dictionary has two definitions for the Player Hater:

1. An intelligent person who hates ’sluts’ and ‘players’ because he or she views them as the scum of the earth. These types are not commonly ‘jealous’, just disgusted by stupidity. Will sometimes ruin their ‘game’ out of spite and/or distaste for pure idiocy.

2. A lowlife idiot who actually is jealous of players success. This is even more stupid than the ‘players’ themselves, because it involves coveting something utterly worthless.

These definitions are, by no means, black and white, because both show resentment for the “player”. While one definition exalts the player hater as a member of the moral elite, who only “hates” because he knows the player is wrong, the other calls the player hater a “lowlife idiot” for coveting what the player has.

Either way, the player themself remains as an anomaly, something undefinable. Is a player a stain on the fabric of society for his polygamous nature? Or is he (or she) just a next step in human sexual evolution- fully capable of having casual relationships without the responsibility and restrictions of exclusivity?

No matter what your definition of the player or player hater, one truth remains of the hater: they are far too concerned with the actions of others and should probably take a hard look at themselves before judging others.

If you find yourself enjoying a non-committal lifestyle, having fun with casual dating and not falling prey to the traditional view of relationships, and a “player-hater” tries to stomp on your game, the only real thing to do is ignore it. The truth is they are either a) jealous, b) closed-minded, or c) bored with their own monotonous lifestyles. Don’t fight, don’t try and argue, just smile and go on with your life. Associate with others who have the same vision as you, on sites like LavaLife or MetroDate.
