Or neither?

The biggest sports news in America right now (especially since the World Cup is on hold until Sunday), is that superstar basketballer LeBron James is headed to Miami. People are speculating about his new team’s chances at winning a ring, the “betrayal” of leaving Cleveland, and now, get this – about whether or not he’ll stay with his high school sweetheart, Savannah Brinson, or move onto one of the beach babes that Miami has to offer.

We expressed a mighty “WTF,” at Hollywood Life’s assumption that because they two aren’t married, a new life in Miami could push LeBron into the arms of another woman, despite the fact that the two, who have been together for years, have two children together.

Hollywood Life lists potential new leading ladies, and all we can think is, “SHUT UP, HOLLYWOOD LIFE.” I mean, who is to say that these two don’t have the world’s most rock solid relationship, just because they aren’t married? They seem to be a very happy couple with a beautiful family, and just because they’re moving from a somewhat small town to the bustling cultural city of Miami doesn’t mean LeBron is going to go nuts and start Tiger Woods-ing all over the place.

Or maybe he will. Who knows. All we know, is Hollywood Life, SHUT UP.

Some people just have a type, huh? Some women always go for the artsy type, or the brooding rockstar, and some, like Miss Kim Kardashian, love the NFL football players (then again, who doesn’t).

After ending a long term relationship with Super Bowl ring holder Reggie Bush earlier this year, Kim was seen out and about with a new guy, Dallas Cowboy Miles Austin. The two were out with a few other couples, including sister Kourtney and boyfriend Scott, on a dinner date night on Miles’ birthday.

Double dates and birthday celebrations? Sounds like the two are getting cozy pretty quickly. We wonder how the first Cowboys – Saints game is going to go!

It’s okay, put down the phone. No need to call Poison Control, you aren’t hallucinating. It’s true, David Spade’s done it again. We think. He was photographed driving around town with his pudgy face, dorky hat, and none other than the drop dead gorgeous Top Chef host, Padma Lakshmi. Sure, a couple photos of them together doesn’t automatically mean that they are an item, it wouldn’t be the most surprising thing in the world, considering this is the same guy whose dating resume includes Brittany Daniel, Teri Hatcher, and even Carmen Electra.

This begs the question. If you’ve got the confidence, charm, and success, do looks really matter? Although physical attraction is usually the first thing people see in each other, it’s obvious that it’s not always the most important factor. Good job, David Spade. Good job.

Well, here’s another classic story of  ”boy gets famous for being born into a rich family, girl with no talent makes highest selling album of like 2000 or something, boy and girl meet and realize they’re both pretty terrible and decide to date.” You know, that story. Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne are a match made in vapid heaven!

Anyway, before dating Avril, Brody Jenner was linked to several other “famous for absolutely no acceptable reason” starlets like Paris Hilton, Lauren Conrad, Nicole Richie, and Kristen Cavallari. So you can tell, this guy’s gotta quite a type.

Avril, on the other hand, previously only had eyes for awkward looking rockstars ala Sum 41 front man Deryck Whibley.

Which leads me to the question: do boring people have to only date other boring people? I don’t see a reasonably opinionated and intelligent person being able to handle a relationship with someone whose most exciting thought involves what they’re going to wear that day. Then again, a relationship between two rather thoughtless people could actually end up being carefree and fun, kind of like when you run through a field of flowers as a six year old.

I guess the world will never know…

It seems as though noted crazy-brain Courtney Love is making desperate attempts to salvage her celebrity these days, going public with relationships that are undoubtedly either untrue, or were supposed to be kept secret. But I suppose when you’ve reached train wreck status, flash your bits to the public on TV, and have lost custody of your daughter, all at the ripe age of 45, you’ve probably let go of all morals and convictions.

So I suppose it should be no surprise that she decided to out a supposed lesbian affair with supermodel Kate Moss. She is quoted as saying,

It’s a great story for the grandchildren, so yeah. Kate wasn’t doing a lot of drugs. It was just a thing that happened in Milan in the Nineties. It happened and it was fun and whatever. And she talks about it and so I hope she doesn’t get mad that I outed her about it. I feel like such a kiss and tell. Kate’s great, though! Kate’s a good friend of mine. I almost bought her house in St John’s Wood, London.

Of course, Courtney Love. None of this sounds at all like you’re clinging to relevance in a world that is slowly forgetting you ever existed. Unfortunately, what Courtney seems to have not noticed, is that shock about homosexuality is dying out, not unlike her own stardom. So perhaps instead of throwing out every possible story she can possibly sell to the press, she should consider keeping them to herself along with a shred of dignity.

Meeting in the workplace is generally not a good idea, because the chance of the relationship not working and negatively affecting the company is too high. One would think dating on the set of a major television show would also be discouraged, but apparently that’s not the case, since we see it all the time!

Case in point: stars of the vastly popular True Blood series, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, have been dating since last February, and rumors have even circulated that the two are engaged! Above is a cute pic of them doing some shopping. While they both seems to be slightly irritated at the paps (who wouldn’t be), they still look very much in love.

The couple is walking proof that there are always exceptions to the rule!

Recent reports are claiming that Anne Hathaway’s new boyfriend, Adam Shulman, has made off with a piece of a mural painted by New York street painter Mr. Brainwash. According to H&H Builders president Ken Hart says that Shulman took a piece of the expensive mural that did not belong to him, and that if it isn’t returned soon, he’ll press charges.

As you might know, Anne’s ex boyfriend Raffaello Follieri is currently serving four years in prison for fraud charges related to cheating investors out of $4 million dollars in a real estate scam.

If the allegations about Adam Shulman true, it will raise another question- is Anne Hathaway attracted to guys with legal problems? It seems to DatePro that it’s a little unhealthy for a woman as successful as Miss Hathaway to be involving herself with men who obviously aren’t as level-headed as she.

We wish Anne luck and hope this is all a misunderstanding!

Twilight fans will probably faint with excitement next week, when Oprah has the entire cast on her show on May 13th. What the fans are really looking for? An answer to the question they’ve been speculating about on weird Twilight message boards for months- are Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart dating in real life?

Apparently, Oprah agreed that on the show she would allow them to be vague about their relationship under one condition- if they’d spill the beans behind the camera.

According to a source, “both Rob and Kristen’s people and Summit then confirmed ahead of time [Rob and Kristen] are together and are dating. One hundred percent.”

So for all you Twi-hards out there, you’re probably either bursting with joy that “Bella” and “that vampire guy” are together, or you’re desperately miserable that you’ll never have a chance with Robert Pattinson. Either way, you care about Twilight too much.

However, this does teach us a lot about keeping relationships private, vs being public. While being out with your significant other should be fun and you should be allowed to express your like/love for each other, keeping it private is a luxury that many people don’t have. So enjoy your relationship, but don’t force it all over other people. Trust me, you’ll thank me later.

Pro football star Tiki Barber is the most recent American celebrity to be caught with his pants down- this time while his wife was 8 months pregnant with twins. Rumors also say that although the two had an “agreement,” Tiki’s wife Ginny has decided to file for divorce immediately.

While we obviously don’t condone the cheating that seems to be spreading  through the celebrity male population like wildfire, the rampant reports do prove someone else to have blame… the gossip media. Our unwavering attention to all things celebrity these days has made it almost a game to see who we can catch next.

When a private matter as sad and disheartening for relationships as cheating is occurring, we as a public should turn an uninterested eye to it. Perhaps some day in the future, couples, no matter how high-profile, will be able to deal with their demons in private, instead of in front of the entire nation.

In, “relationship disaster” news, Porn star Jenna Jameson and her beau, MMA fighter Tito Ortiz recently had the police called to their home in Huntington Beach, CA, for – get this- domestic abuse.

The UFC fighter was taken away in handcuffs this morning by cops this morning, after cope received a call that there was a “disturbance” at the mansion the two share.

While of course, we don’t believe that domestic abuse is ever acceptable, the combination of a porn star and an Ultimate Fighter must be hazardous. Add in the fact that the two have two children together, and you get a situation that could blow up at any time. We’d suggest the two spend some time apart to collect themselves before they subject their children to more danger.
