In case you’ve been living under a very cool and inviting rock (I’d love to join you), Playboy magnate Hugh Hefner was recently left by his fiancee, 24 year old Crystal Harris, just days before their planned wedding. Hef announced the news via his Twitter feed, and claimed to be heartbroken, even raising an eyebrow at the fact that she left him the day her single hit iTunes.

However, it only took Hef a week to find a new nubile model to keep him company in bed. Anna Sophia Berglund, 25-year-old January Playmate of the Month, is apparently the most recent of the blond bombshells to call herself the 85-year-old man’s girlfriend. According to reports, they were seen kissing at cuddling at the Playboy mansions regular movie night, and are already calling each other “babe”.

At this point, there isn’t even a reason to scoff at this multi-millionaire’s dating choices. With two failed marriages and a failed engagement in his pocket, it pretty much makes sense that he just continually rotates beautiful blond 20-somethings through his mansion instead of trying to concentrate on just one, especially when they are all clearly in it for the dollah billz. With less than a few decades left on this planet, we gotta hand it to Hef for knowing how to spend his remaining years. No use trying to marry a bimbo when you can easily run through them like disposable diapers (that he may be wearing right at this moment).

I’ve always been somewhat confused by our collective lack of interest in celebrity weddings. I mean, sure, we all love to see two blasphemously attractive people date, we like to see them out in public doing normal things (not to say that isn’t weird in itself), but once the marriage happens, were like, ‘eh, over it. Call me when you divorce.’

Such is not the case of the wedding of William and Kate, or the future king and queen of England. They aren’t movie stars or models or singers, they’re not even from our country, and their becoming KING AND QUEEN is something our ancestors fought for us to NOT care about. What do the king and queen even DO?! I cant imagine it is cool enough for them to make PLATES with their FACES on them.

Contrary to my opinion, though, it seems as though everyone else in our country just can’t WAIT for William and Kate to marry, and are celebrating by purchasing every houseware available with poorly drawn caricatures all over them.

So can you explain it to me? What’s with our undying fascination with the Royal Wedding That Will Have No Effect On Us Whatsoever?

As the World Cup winds down, one of the sports most fantasized-about stars, Cristiano Ronaldo, is making waves with the news that he has hired a surrogate to have his child despite his being single. According to many sources, the cost of his surrogacy plan is upwards of $20 million.

The assumptions that arise from this choice are many… some say that it’s not really a surrogacy but a mistaken one-night-stand gone wrong, and other believe that in this decision he is basically coming out to the world as a gay man.

We wonder though, if these very shocking allegations could be overshadowing another less accusatory choice — perhaps Ronaldo is just a successful man who wants to have a child but doesn’t feel he’s ready to marry (or ever, maybe). The idea that a man can’t raise a child alone, or that a couple has to be married to properly bring up a kid is apparently not as antiquated as we might like to think.

My opinion? Option 2 of three. The guy is gay. But I don’t think that because of the surrogacy. I mean, just look at that chest/shorts/painted nails combo. Right?

Alright, this is just becoming an epidemic. Celebrity sex tapes have spanned from the fairly sexy (Paris Hilton), to the raunchy (Pam Anderson) to the straight up disturbing (Dustin “Screech” Diamond). And now, comedienne Chelsea Handler is said to have starred in a sex tape/ audition tape about 12 years ago, and it has just resurfaced.

Luckily, Miss Handler knows how to deal with the publicity. She went on her talk show and said, “It isn’t a sex tape. It’s a tape that was done for a stand up comedy bit,” She went on to say, “Thanks for ruining my surprise Christmas gift to my staff…It was made as a joke. I put it on an audition tape for a comedy club because I’m a comedian. I’ve been showing it at birthday parties for f***ing years!”

No drama, tears, or lawsuits? Talk about awesome Hand-ling!

It seems that John Mayer really has a thing for blondes- first Jessica Simpson, then Jennifer Aniston, and now, apparently, the 20 year old country singer Taylor Swift. After recording a  duet together for Mayer’s new album, the two have allegedly been seen around town having dinners, visiting each other at the studio, and even spending nights at a hotel.

A twelve year age difference for many couples isn’t a big deal, but when you consider the fact that Taylor’s  been out of high school for just over a year, it is a little iffy. Either way, we wish them luck.

After reports that Josh Duhamel had cheated on Fergie with an exotic dancer in Georgia, it seems as though the couple are still doing fine. Duhamel vehemently denied the accusations that after meeting a stripper at the club called “Tattletails,” he took her back to his hotel and had an all-night sex romp. Although the National Enquirer said the stripper, who goes by Delilah, passed a rigorous polygraph test, Duhamel’s rep dismissed the claim, saying “This is not the first nor will it be the last time that a stripper was paid a large amount of money to sell a false story about a celebrity. This story is absolutely ridiculous.”

The two recently renewed their wedding vows and are definitely still together. They are proof that trust in a relationship can withstand all allegations!

Matt Goss, Vegas entertainer and songwriter opened up to RadarOnline this week about his split with actress Daisy Fuentes. Apparently, after being together for 10 years, he found out that she had been cheating on him with her ex, singer Luis Miguel. “We had a long and loving relationship,” said Goss. “This came as a shock especially when you think you really know someone.”

We always wonder why celebrities cheat. How do they expect to keep it a secret when there are people actually paid to follow them around with cameras?

Russell Brand might be most well known for his role as an over-the-top British singer in the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but these days the most popular role is “Fiance,” as news that he’s engaged to hot American pop-star Katy Perry hits the internet.

Apparently, Brand proposed to Perry while vacationing for the New Year in India, and rumors of the engagement began circulating due to the duo’s mysterious Twitter updates, such as “It’s True. Much love,” and Perry’s slightly more obvious, “Yes.”

While the twosome seem a rather strange match up, they have been inseparable since September, and seem to be very much in love. You’ve gotta appreciate two people who are brave enough to take a leap of faith!

After a painful, publicized fallout with her ex Chris Brown (cause by allegations of domestic abuse), we’re happy to see Rihanna back in the dating game. She’s been seen in numerous places canoodling with LA Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp, and was most recently seen in Cabo, basking in the sun, jet skiing, and cuddling on a gorgeous yacht.

Rihanna is a great example of the strength of the human spirit. While some women might have sworn off men after being verbally and physically abused by one, Rihanna shows that the healthiest thing to do is move on. She took some time out of the spotlight to regain composure and self-reliance, and then found a guy who exemplifies a gentlemen.

She should be an role-model for all women!
