If you’re a guy who’s not looking for a relationship, but who would love to have a fun night with a girl who isn’t crazy, clingy, or needy, there are certain girls you know you should avoid. They’re gossipy, overly-concerned with their looks, and probably have those crazy eyes that say, “I WANT BABIES.” However, how is one to spot a girl who isn’t nuts- who wants to have fun and possibly hookup, but isn’t looking to torment you with demands of commitment? Here are some easy signs to show that she is in it for fun, not stress.

1) At a party or bar, she’s independent and down to talk to anyone, and she isn’t in a hive of women obviously gossiping about every guy or girl in the bar.

2) She’s attractive and confident, but isn’t dressed like a hooker. You can tell she takes care of herself but doesn’t think wearing a mini-skirt and stillettos is the only way to attract a guy.

3) She doesn’t play games. You can tell when a woman is trying to use her female mind tricks to reel you in. The girl you’re looking for is honest and will tell you what she wants.

4) She doesn’t let any guy hit on her, but she isn’t rude. There are often two strains of women. Those who will let any guy talk her up just for a confidence boost, and those who will reject any guy who even says hi, assuming they’re trying to sleep with her. The girl you’re looking for is right in the middle, discerning, but kind.

5)  She isn’t falling over herself drunk. If you’re looking for fun girl to hook up with and potentially casually date, don’t pick the girl who’s sloppily spilling beer on herself or whose eyes are half closed. Not only will you feel bad hooking up with her, but she’s probably a bit of a mess anyway.

The reason most cited is that they feel the iPhone shows they are more “reliable” and are “good with computers.”

Alright, a little back story. This survey was apparently held by an iPhone retailer who, for credibility reasons, say they “also sell other phones.” We’re not sure if this survey is in any way legit, but we do know that anyone with a Palm Pre is repulsive.

We’ve all been told a million times, guys are simple. They like simple things, like football, and beer, and pizza, and boobs. And while that’s really stereotypical, it’s pretty true, and the simplicity of the desires men have in relationships is just about the same. They’d like a nice girl who’s pretty and goes a little wild behind closed doors. Unfortunately, there are aspects about women that men can’t stand. Just like women can’t stand when guys don’t listen, there are little habits women have that drive guys up a wall, and here are a few.

Not knowing how to cook

Guys don’t expect every woman they meet to be able to whip up a 5-star meal in 30 minutes. They do hope, though, that they can boil water and maybe concoct some simple dish that doesn’t taste like cat food. Not only does a lack of kitchen skills reek of irresponsibility, but it means they’ll be going out to eat a whole lot, and that stuff don’t come cheap!

Knocking his friends

Just as a woman never wants a guy to say he dislikes her girlfriends, neither does a guy want his girlfriend to talk about his buddies. Saying you think “Todd is a total jerk,” is basically signing yourself up to never be invited out with his friends again.

Gossiping about stuff men don’t care about

“And then he said she’s gotten fat and she walked up behind him and got super pissed, but really she has gotten a little fat and you know she kinda looks pregnant even and OMG by the way-” STOP. Guys detest drama, especially in highly concentrated doses that you save up all day at work. Call your girlfriends to gossip, or better yet, don’t do it at all.

Telling your guy that “nothing’s wrong,” when something is clearly wrong, is pretty much every guy’s biggest pet peeve. They don’t want to figure out what’s wrong, they want you to tell them so they can fix it and get on with their lives. Women are far and beyond more perceptive of peoples’ emotions, so give your guy a a hand and let him know why you’re upset. Chances are they had no idea they even made you mad.

Letting yourself go

Yes, it came to this. Guys are visual creatures. They like to look at you, and although it might take a few pounds before they notice, the second they do… The last thing you want is to realize your guy isn’t sexually attracted to you, so even if it’s for your own sanity, keep a healthy lifestyle. You have to be honest with yourself and realize you’d be turned off if they put on a whole bunch of weight, so keep yourself in good shape too!

Urban Dictionary lists approximately 300 definitions of the term “Player.” Of those, about 4 say that it can be a man or a woman. In general, the definition says ” a guy who is sustaining supposedly exclusive relationships with multiple girls simultaneously.”

However, switch the two genders and to most, the word being defined would be “whore.”

The term player, while occasionally used in a negative sense, is often considered impressive. Guys can easily say they are not looking for a relationship and just want to have fun, without being considered dirty or dishonorable. On the other hand, women who sleep with multiple partners are often considered to be “slutty.” With the changing times, though, and the popularity of shows like Sex and the City, Grey’s Anatomy, and Cougar Town, successful women who aren’t interested in settling down or having children are becoming more and more the norm.

So, yes, a woman can be a player, without being a slut. The only part of the definition that should be changed is “supposedly exclusive.” If a woman (or a man) is comfortable going out and having fun, possibly with multiple partners, the only advice we have is not to tell your partners that they are the only one you are sleeping with. If you turn away at a kiss, won’t hold his hand, or get offended when he invites you to his apartment, he’s going to think you’re a tease who isn’t interested. Don’t compromise your standards, but show him that you are, in fact, attracted to him.

4. You were annoying.
You whined about your food, you complained about your drink, you rambled about your roommate and after a couple glasses of wine, you cried about your ex. There is nothing attractive about a girl who is self-absorbed and obnoxious. Ask questions, be polite, and be positive.

5. You were too clingy.
