Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Split
After 5 years of marriage, it’s being reported that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have officially split. The couple, who married in 2006 at an Italian castle, are calling it quits, as reported by TheDailyMail.com.
Their publicists have released statements which seem to imply that it is not a mutual decision, and that Katie was the one to pull the plug. Her rep says, “This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family,” and that “‘Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”
Tom’s publicist, however, stated, “Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy.”
