As technology advances each and every day, so do the techniques dating sites to use to enhance their platform and gain more users. With the general public slowly moving into a wholly PDA phone lifestyle, the phone based internet is the next biggest place to bring online dating.

At the same time, people are beginning to use online dating as a way to meet fun people for short romances and flings, instead of searching for their soul mates. With dating sites like OnlineBootyCall and  phone apps like Flirtomatic, the casual dating world is now becoming more mainstream than ever.

DatePro’s question is, how safe do you feel using a web-based app to meet potential dates? Many of these apps use GPS locators to show how close a potential mate would be, which we find to be just a little bit Big-Brother-esque. Flirtomatic also has some interesting features: purchasable banner ads promoting yourself, and “flirt bombs” which send out a message to a bunch of people nearby. I dont know about you, but it seems to us like thats about as impersonal as you can get.

Would you try mobile-app dating? Why or why not?
